Overview
We are seeking a Sports Science Intern to join our team. As a Sports Science Intern, you will collaborate with our sports scientists, engineers, and data analysts to develop and implement an ecosystem of AI and sensor-based solutions for performance enhancement and injury prevention in athletes in addition to seniors and people with mobility issues which will be promoted to consumers and enterprise.
Key Responsibilities
– Data Analysis: Collect, analyze, and interpret physiological and biomechanical data from athletes using advanced wearable sensors and software.
– Research and Development: Assist in the design and implementation of sports science research projects focused on AI, robotics, and sensor technologies.
– Collaboration: Work with engineers to develop and test AI-driven performance monitoring and injury prevention tools.
– Literature Review: Conduct literature reviews to stay updated on the latest advancements in sports science, AI, and sensor technology.
– Training Programs: Support the development of personalized training programs based on data analysis and research findings.
– Reporting: Prepare detailed reports and presentations to communicate research findings and project progress to the team and stakeholders.
– Team Meetings: Participate in team meetings, brainstorming sessions, and workshops to contribute innovative ideas and solutions.
Qualifications and Skills
– Academic Background: Experience or interested in, or currently pursuing or recently completed a degree in Sports Science, Exercise Physiology, Kinesiology, Biomedical Engineering, or a related field is a plus but not required.
– Technical Knowledge: Basic knowledge of data analysis tools and software (e.g., MATLAB, Python, R) is a plus but not required.
– Interest in Technology: Strong interest in AI, robotics, and sensor technologies as applied to sports performance and injury prevention.
– Analytical Skills: Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills.
– Team Collaboration: Ability to work collaboratively in a multidisciplinary team environment.
– Self-Motivation: Self-motivated with a strong desire to learn and contribute to innovative projects.
Preferred Qualifications
– Experience: Experience with machine learning or AI algorithms.
– Research Experience: Previous experience in a sports science research setting.
– Statistical Knowledge: Knowledge of statistical analysis methods and software.
