Flomad Labs is an innovative R&D company specializing in AI-driven technology and robotics solutions.
Employment Type
Internship (Flexible hours, 8–40 hours per week)
🔭 About the Role
Are you passionate about space, planetary defense, or the search for life beyond Earth? Join Flomad Labs R&D’s internship program and work on bold, hands-on projects like asteroid deflection, deep-space robotics, and extraterrestrial exploration—regardless of your academic background. If you’re curious, creative, and eager to learn, this is your launchpad.
🌌 What You’ll Do
- Participate in designing and testing robotic systems for planetary defense and asteroid interception.
- Help simulate and model spacecraft and satellite missions using real data.
- Research technologies for robotic space mining, lunar bases, and deep-space travel.
- Contribute to AI- and robotics-based search-for-life initiatives (biosignature detection, signal decoding).
- Assist with mission planning tools, orbital simulations, or robotic deployment strategies.
- Collaborate in interdisciplinary teams using engineering, programming, astronomy, and biology perspectives.
🧠 What We’re Looking For
- Passionate about space science, space exploration, or interplanetary defense.
- Willing to learn and dive into unfamiliar tools and technologies.
- Basic familiarity with programming, physics, or engineering concepts is helpful—but not required.
- Curious, persistent, and able to work independently and collaboratively.
📚 Learning First
Before working on projects, all selected interns complete our custom Space Science Masterclass—an online learning experience with curated free content from YouTube, NASA, ESA, and space science thought leaders. You’ll explore topics like:
- Planetary motion & celestial mechanics
- Astrobiology & biosignature detection
- Robotic systems for space missions
- Satellite design & orbital dynamics
- AI & data science in astronomy
💡 Why This Internship Matters
Our long-term mission is to explore the universe with AGI-enabled humanoids, defend Earth from hazardous asteroids, and pursue answers to humanity’s deepest questions—Who created us? Are we alone? Why are we here?
This internship is a way to gain real experience contributing to those efforts—through simulation, research, prototyping, and exploration.
