We are seeking a Research Associate (Open-Source Projects) to join our team at Flomad, contributing to the development and exploration of cutting-edge technologies across AI, robotics, and machine learning. As a Research Associate, you will help design, prototype, and document innovative technologies while actively engaging with the open-source community. You will collaborate with AI researchers, engineers, and designers to translate cutting-edge research into practical, publicly available tools and insights.
Additionally, you will engage in continuous research and evaluation of emerging AI tools to enhance productivity, staying abreast of the latest technological advancements. Key Responsibilities
- Contribute to open-source projects aligned with Flomad’s AI and robotics research.
- Conduct technical and academic research to support innovation and development.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to design, implement, and test open tools and technologies.
- Engage with the global open-source community through forums, GitHub, and documentation efforts.
- Translate research findings into usable software components, reports, or frameworks.
- Explore and evaluate emerging tools and platforms relevant to intelligent systems.
- Document research findings and contribute to blog posts, technical notes, or research papers.
Qualifications and Skills
- Strong interest in open-source development, research, and collaboration.
- Background in computer science, data science, engineering, or related fields is a plus.
- Experience with Git/GitHub, open-source collaboration, or technical documentation.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities with a proactive learning mindset.
- Ability to work independently and collaboratively within an interdisciplinary team.
