Overview
We’re seeking enthusiastic and curious Quantum Engineer Interns to join the Flomad Labs R&D internship program. You’ll be part of a dynamic, remote-friendly team at the intersection of quantum, AI, robotics, and space research. You’ll work on real-world projects—developing, testing, and integrating quantum-enhanced solutions alongside engineers, researchers, and industry experts.

What You’ll Do

  • Design and prototype quantum algorithms for optimization, sensing, simulation, and secure communications.
  • Participate in the integration of quantum sensors (e.g., quantum gyroscopes) into robotic platforms.
  • Collaborate on proofs-of-concept for quantum-secured teleoperation links between Earth and robotic agents.
  • Use quantum simulators to explore new materials and support AGI-capable robot development.
  • Benchmark quantum vs. classical methods and present findings to the team.
  • Engage in research, documentation, and hands-on experimentation with platforms like Qiskit, PennyLane, and cloud-based quantum hardware.

What We’re Looking For

  • Current student or recent graduate in Physics, Computer Science, Electrical Engineering, or related fields.
  • Working knowledge of quantum theory and exposure to quantum computing tools (Qiskit, Cirq, PennyLane).
  • Strong coding background (Python preferred), excellent problem-solving skills, and eagerness to learn.
  • Passion for robotics, AI, space, and the transformational power of quantum.
  • Effective communicator—capable of sharing ideas, challenges, and results in team settings and documents.
