Overview
We are seeking a Human-Robot Interaction (HRI) Intern to join our team at Flomad, contributing to the design and development of user-friendly interaction models and interfaces for our humanoid robot. As an HRI Intern, you will assist in developing interaction paradigms, conducting usability testing, and refining human-robot communication strategies. Key Responsibilities
- Assist in developing interaction models that enable seamless human-robot communication.
- Conduct user studies and usability testing, gathering insights to refine interaction strategies.
- Research and explore multimodal interaction techniques, including speech recognition, gaze tracking, facial expressions, and body language.
- Collaborate with UX designers and robotics engineers to implement effective HRI solutions.
- Study AI-driven personalization, enabling robots to adapt to individual user behaviors and preferences.
- Document findings, analyze user feedback, and contribute to research publications in HRI and social robotics.
- Participate in team meetings, brainstorming sessions, and workshops, contributing innovative ideas and problem-solving approaches.
Qualifications and Skills
- Strong communication and analytical skills, with the ability to assess and refine user interactions.
- Background in human-computer interaction (HCI), psychology, cognitive science, robotics, or UX design is a plus.
- Experience with usability testing, user research, or interaction design methodologies.
- Familiarity with natural language processing (NLP), speech recognition, or computer vision is beneficial.
- Creative problem-solving abilities and an interest in AI-driven social robotics.
- Ability to work effectively in a team environment, collaborating across multiple disciplines.
