Computer Vision Engineering Intern

Overview

We are seeking a Computer Vision Engineering Intern to join our team at Flomad, contributing to the development of the visual processing capabilities of our AGI humanoid robot. This role provides an exciting opportunity to work on advanced computer vision algorithms that enable robots to perceive, understand, and interact with their surroundings in real-time.

As a Computer Vision Engineering Intern, you will work on object detection, scene recognition, and spatial navigation algorithms, ensuring our humanoid robot can accurately interpret its environment and make intelligent decisions. You will collaborate closely with AI researchers, roboticists, and software engineers to integrate vision systems into a fully functional robotic intelligence framework.

Additionally, you will engage in continuous research and evaluation of emerging AI tools to enhance productivity, staying abreast of the latest technological advancements. This proactive approach ensures our team remains at the forefront of innovation, integrating cutting-edge solutions into our workflows. Key Responsibilities

  • Develop and optimize computer vision algorithms for object detection, facial recognition, and scene understanding.
  • Integrate vision systems with other robotic components, ensuring seamless interaction with motion planning, sensor fusion, and AI decision-making systems.
  • Conduct experiments and analyze data to improve vision system accuracy, speed, and robustness.
  • Research deep learning models (CNNs, Transformers, Optical Flow, SLAM) to enhance robotic perception capabilities.
  • Implement real-time image processing techniques for gesture recognition, gaze tracking, and environmental mapping.
  • Collaborate with AI researchers, roboticists, and software engineers to integrate vision-based intelligence into our humanoid robot.
  • Participate in team meetings, brainstorming sessions, and workshops, contributing innovative ideas and problem-solving approaches.

Qualifications and Skills

  • Familiarity with computer vision libraries (e.g., OpenCV, TensorFlow, PyTorch, ROS, Open3D).
  • Strong programming skills in Python or C++, with experience in deep learning frameworks.
  • Knowledge of 3D vision, stereo imaging, SLAM, or real-time image processing is a plus.
  • Creative problem-solving abilities and a strong analytical mindset.
  • Ability to work effectively in a team environment, collaborating on interdisciplinary projects.
  • Passion for robotics, AGI, and AI-driven perception systems.
