Overview
We are seeking a Biomedical Engineering Intern to join our team at Flomad, contributing to the development and refinement of advanced EEG sensor technology for our next-generation EEG headband. This role offers a unique opportunity to work on signal acquisition, processing, and hardware design, ensuring the highest accuracy and efficiency in brainwave data collection. As an intern, you will focus on enhancing signal processing techniques, reducing noise, and optimizing electrode design to improve overall sensor performance.
In addition to sensor development, you will collaborate closely with electrical engineers, software developers, and AI researchers to integrate the EEG sensors into a seamless, high-performance wearable device. You will conduct experiments and validation studies to assess sensor accuracy, reliability, and ergonomics, ensuring that our EEG headband meets both scientific and user-experience standards. This role provides valuable hands-on experience in biomedical signal processing, wearable device design, and neurotechnology research.

Key Responsibilities
- Develop and refine EEG sensor technology, including electrode design and signal acquisition.
- Focus on signal processing techniques to enhance data quality, reduce noise, and improve real-time accuracy.
- Collaborate with electrical and software engineering teams to ensure seamless sensor integration into wearable devices.
- Conduct experiments and validation studies to test and optimize EEG sensor accuracy and reliability.
- Assist in the design and development of ergonomic, wearable hardware for user-friendly application.
- Stay informed on emerging AI and biomedical engineering tools, integrating innovative solutions into our research and development.
- Participate in team meetings, brainstorming sessions, and workshops, contributing innovative ideas and problem-solving approaches.
Qualifications and Skills
- Strong foundation in biomedical engineering principles and signal processing.
- Experience in scientific research and data analysis, particularly in EEG technology and bio-signal acquisition.
- Familiarity with biomedical sensors, electrode design, and wearable health technology is a plus
- Excellent problem-solving skills, attention to detail, and ability to work in a team-oriented environment.
- Interest in AI applications in biomedical research and neurotechnology innovation.
